FAQ's

Is lobbying affordable for small-to-medium sized businesses?

Federal Contracting Alliance (“Fed Alliance”) has partnered with Lobbyit to provide comprehensive, professional, and affordable representation to a diverse clientele. By making the services of a Washington DC lobbyist accessible to a broader client base, Fed Alliance and Lobbyit provide a voice to companies and organizations that have had little representation on Capitol Hill in the past.

Why is lobbying important if I'm a Government Contractor?

Lobbying gets you right to the decision-makers and influencers that matter. Get a leg-up on your competition in forging relationships with federal agencies.

How can my Congressional Delegation help me in Government Contracting?

Congress approves the budget requests for federal agencies. Congressmen are incentivized to support businesses in their District. A call or a letter from your Congressman or Senator to the top level of an agency goes a long way toward building a good relationship with the agencies that buy what you sell.

Who are some of the clients that work with Lobbyit?

Lobbyit works with a diverse client base from small companies to large corporations to non-profits. Some of these clients include CarFax, Texas Christian University, the Brick Industry Association, the National Sporting Goods Association, and many more. You can find more on the Lobbyit website.

Does it help my position as a Government Contractor to be SBA Certified and/or be on the GSA MAS Schedule ?

It is good to be SBA Certified if you can meet certain socio-economic qualifications. Federal agencies have small business goals they must meet each year based on different categories. If you’re not eligible for these different SBA certifications, you can still excel in government contracting based on your experience and past performance history.

It is strongly encouraged that you get approval to be listed on the GSA Multiple Award Schedule if you qualify. As such, you are pre-vetted and pre-approved for government contracting without having to go through the solicitation process. The GSA MAS Schedule is a 5-year contract with the federal government and can be renewed for up to 20 years. At Fed Alliance, we can help you through this approval process.
